Majuli Island (Assam) — World's Largest River Island

GPS: 26.9500°N, 94.1667°E | Ferry from Jorhat

No bridge exists — take the ferry with your vehicle. Satras (Vaishnavite monasteries) and mask-making artisans.

Shillong + Cherrapunji (Meghalaya)

Mawsmai cave, Nohkalikai Falls (340m), living root bridges of Nongriat (2 hr trek with GPS waypoints).

Gangtok + Nathu La Pass (Sikkim)

Nathu La Pass (4,310m) — permit required. Gurudongmar Lake (5,183m) — acclimatize first. MG Road Gangtok evening.

Kohima (Nagaland) — WWII & Culture

Kohima War Cemetery — one of WW2's most moving memorials. Hornbill Festival dates (check December for optimal timing). Dzüko Valley wildflower trek (December-January).

Aizawl + Return to Guwahati (Mizoram)

Vantawng Falls (229m — Mizoram's highest), Champhai Valley Myanmar border views. Return via Assam NH27.
