AYK Maps AYK Maps

Everything AYK Maps can animate.

Routes, regions, data, labels and the camera — every feature of the studio in one place, with the names you will see on screen.

Ways to start

Begin from a sentence, a template, three quick questions or a blank map.

AI scene builder
Type the map you want in the AI agent tab and the AI builds an editable scene: places, routes, regions, camera and titles. Ask for changes in follow-up messages.
Templates
20+ starter templates for flights, road trips, sea lanes, elections, data maps and globe reveals. Use one as is or remix it with AI.
Guided setup
Answer three questions (what the video is about, your places, the format) and get a first version.
Build by hand
The Studio tab gives you every control: stops, routes, regions, data, text and timing.

Routes and journeys

Lines that draw themselves across the map as the story plays.

Route types
Flight, Arc, Hub (one origin to many places), Hub-in (many places into one) and Mesh (every place connected to every other).
Path shapes
Straight, Follow roads (Drive, Cycle or Walk on real roads) and Sea lanes (ship routes on a real maritime network).
Multiple routes

Line and motion
Solid, dashed or dotted lines; effects such as Comet, Dashes, Flow, Pulse and Glow; Linear, Smooth or Pause pacing at each stop.
Travel markers
Plane, car, train, ship, bus, bike, truck, walker, rocket or a dot — plus 3D plane, car, truck, motorbike, bicycle and boat models that turn with the route. Or upload your own image.
Stops

Callout timing
Auto, At once, or In order as the route reaches each place.
Free text
Sans, Display, Serif, Mono or Hand fonts; bold, italic and uppercase; size, colour, outline, shadow, spacing and rotation; no background, a box or a pill. Place it on the frame, on a map location or in a corner.
Titles

Stat cards
A stop count, a big number, a bar chart or a trend line, with a caption and unit.
Images
Upload an image or photo and place it on the map or the frame.
Compass
Classic, Minimal or Needle, in any corner.
Entrances
Overlays appear with Rise, Fade, Wipe or Instant.

Cinematic camera

Camera moves that make a map feel like footage, not a screenshot.

Motion presets
Hold, Fly in, Push in, Pull back, Orbit, Drift and Follow.
Auto-fix
The Camera Director plans the whole camera — framing each part of the story in turn — and keeps the shots editable.
2D and 3D view
A flat top-down view or a tilted 3D view.
Keyframes
Fine-tune zoom, tilt and rotation on the timeline. What you see in the preview is what you get in the export, at every size.

Map styles

Open map data, styled your way.

Basemaps

Globe or flat
A 3D globe or a flat map.
Depth
Terrain relief and 3D buildings.
Accent colour
One accent colour ties routes, pins and highlights together.

Your own data

Bring places, tracks and shapes from other tools (Starter plan and above).

Files
CSV, JSON, GeoJSON, KML, KMZ and GPX.
GPS tracks
A GPX track becomes an animated route; named waypoints become stops.
Spreadsheets
A CSV of places and values becomes pins, a route or a data map.
